How to Download Grades in Feedback Loop

Sep 23, 2025 | Support Documentation

This export feature provides a manual export option for exporting your grades, in an LMS-friendly format, for import to your LMS grade book. Separately, Feedback Loop offers an LMS grade push feature that sends students’ calculated survey grades to your grade book with a click (detailed here).

  1. In your survey page, click Export Grades from the menu at the top of the screen (you may need to click the three dots button to display this).

2. In Canvas, navigate to your Grade book.

3. Click Actions

4. Click Import and upload the export from Feedback Loop.

Canvas grade import

Canvas automatically detects the assignment this applies to based on our export and previews the grade values before you click confirm.

Note that other LMS’ may have other processes but that this action is generally done from within your grade book.

For questions with a menu of options, (e.g. Likert scales) Internal Values are the numbers linked to a response. For example: Strongly Agree is by default 5 points on a 5 point scale. Ensure each Internal Value is not repeated to avoid issues.
