Create Work Review
Navigate to Work Review from the menu bar and click New Work Review on the top right. This creates a draft that is ready for you to set up. Nothing will be finalized or sent to students until you click Open Submissions.
Submission Format
Select from written submission, video, external link, and live presentation. Next, select whether this is an individual or team submission.
Submission Details
Description: enter the submission details or instructions that students will see when submitting their work.
Attachment: optionally, add a reference document or template that students should reference when submitting their work.
Review Settings
This is where the review side of Work Review is configured. Students will be reviewing one another's work based on the settings you choose here.
Select a Rubric: rubrics are equivalent to team review surveys but are used for peer review of work. Rubrics are created and edited in Library. You must create a rubric before Work Review can be used. Rubrics are tied to instructor accounts and will appear in any other courses where you use Feedback Loop.
Who Reviews: select how reviewers will be mapped to submissions.
Self Review: should the submitting student review their own work?
Close the Loop: works just like team review close the loop by allowing students, and/or instructors, to respond to students' received peer feedback.
Grading
This creates a gradebook assignment in your course.
Max Points: the number of points this assignment is worth.
Submission, review and participation: determines the grade split between submitting the original work, the rating work received by peers and participation in the peer review. For assignments that should be entirely graded by peers, set Review to 100%.
Results Release Date: as with Team Review, Work Review can provide students with performance insights on the feedback they receive. To use this feature, set a release results date or instructors can release results manually at a later time.
Launching a Work Review
Open Submissions
When everything is configured, click Open Submissions in the top right. If this button is greyed out, that means a required setting has not yet been selected and you can hover over this button to identify which setting is missing.
Close Submissions and Open Reviews
This can occur based on prescheduled dates or by clicking Close Submissions at the top right. Once submissions are closed, students can no longer turn in submissions and reviews can begin.
Allocate & Open Reviews
This prompts students to rate other students' work based on your selected review settings or randomized or manually selected student or team pairings.
Close Reviews: Work Review is Now Complete!
At this step, students can no longer submit reviews and grades are sent to your LMS gradebook based on your settings and how your students rated one another's work.
