Feedback Loop supports group sets in Canvas and other LMS platforms, allowing instructors to send peer feedback to a specific group set. Feedback Loop refers to this as a group category but if you are a Canvas user, you would recognize it as a group set.
What is a Canvas Group Set (and other LMS group sets)?
A group set is a subdivision of student teams within a course. Group sets allow instructors to include that subdivision of students in various activities and action items without having to select each individual team every time.
Using Group Sets in Feedback Loop
Feedback Loop refers to group sets as group categories. When setting up a survey, click the group category selector to choose any specific group set that has been setup in your Learning Management System course. If you intend to send the survey to all groups in this course, you can ignore this step as all groups is the default.
Clicking any group category will display the groups in that category below to provide a visual confirmation of the groups or teams to be included in this survey. Note that each team has a remove icon (trash bin) allowing you to remove individual teams from a survey before sending it, for even more granular control. This can be useful if you want to send to only a single team, regardless of group set designation.
