This product update includes several faculty requests (including ability to reschedule surveys), enhanced flexibility with survey formats and a new option for points allocation questions. Read on for the full details!
Survey Scheduling Enhancements
Any pre-scheduled survey date (including sent dates, due/close dates and results release dates) can now be changed or cleared altogether by instructors, at any time. Click the date and time to select a new one or click the X next to the scheduled date and time to cancel it.
The order of survey dates now updates automatically to ensure due date is before close date so there is no chance to mistakenly close a survey before it is due. If the survey is reopened after it’s closed, any scheduled close date clears automatically to avoid unintendedly re-closing the survey.
More Flexible than Ever: New Survey Question Formats and Support for Non-Peer Feedback Surveys
Previously, a survey had to include at least one peer feedback question, but we found instructors wanting to use Feedback Loop beyond peer feedback. Now, a survey can be sent that is entirely general feedback-only questions allowing Feedback Loop to be used as a general survey tool, in addition to peer feedback.
New Target and Recipient Options: More Robust Team Lead Surveys
For courses involving team leads, you can now set questions to target any combination of team leads, non-leads, self and peer. This allows for student teams to rate their leader and for team leads to rate their teams, among other scenarios.
New Option for Points Allocation Questions: Unique Scores
Our Points Allocation question type is designed to stop students from handing out 5/5 to each of their teammates and, instead, to reflect on individual performance. To this end, Feedback Loop now offers a new option for Points Allocation questions: Unique Allocation. Choosing this option means students will have to provide a unique score to each of their teammates when rating them.
Look and Feel Improvements
- Students’ released results report formatting has been updated to match other results views in Feedback Loop.
- Survey management page has been updated to remove some redundant labeling for a cleaner look.
Everything Else!
- More robust LMS grade push to account for scenarios where a student was removed from the course after a survey is sent but before grades are pushed.
- Fixed a rare occurrence where students were unable to submit their survey response despite having everything completed.
- Survey preview now has a selector to preview as a lead or non-lead personas, if the survey template includes questions for both student types.
